Battle of the Books

Students in 5-8th grade are invited to join this year’s Battle of the Books team.  This is a reading competition sponsored by Gallaudet University. Students will read 3 books and compete as a team to answer questions about the books.   

Date: This competition will take place during the 2026-2027 school year.  See flyer for specific dates for each division.  

Interest Form: Students who are interested in this opportunity will need to complete the interest form by August 29, 2026. 

Academic Bowl

Students in 9-12th grade are invited to join this year’s Academic Bowl team.  This is a competition sponsored by Gallaudet University. Students will compete as a team to answer questions about various topics and current events.

Nebraska Conference on Deaf and Hard of Hearing Education

Virtual Sign Language Class

This is a 6 week sign language class.  Classes will be held virtually on Tuesdays and Thursdays.  The same material will be covered in the Tuesday class and the Thursday class each week.  Participants can choose which day works best or come both days for additional practice.  There will be two tracks for participants to choose from; beginner and intermediate.  A Spanish track is also available.  

Dates: October 6, 2026 through November 12, 2026
